Indigenous Social Innovation

Wendy believes in Indigenous Social Innovation, and Indigenous Social Impacts is embedded in our spirituality and in our Indigenous Ways of Knowing. This is how we will ensure strong and healthy future generations.

Indigenous Innovation

Our Family believes in keeping the circle strong with culturally based foundation for future generations. The founding Board of Native Child and Family Services of Toronto (NCFST) was Nellie Ashawasega, Gus Ashawasega, Emma King, Mary Anne Kelly, Reva Jewell, Elizabeth Perrott, Wilson Ashkewe, Yvonne Lunham, Micheal Roy Roy, Banakonda Kennedy-Kish Bell, Ethel Hewitt, Francine Mendoshkin, Andrea Williams.

Mark and Wendy worked with Kenn Richard and team architects to design a cultural space central to NCFST and the design was based on our wigwam. It feels good to continue a vision from our ancestors and a hope for a better future based on our cultural spaces.
